The Economy of Lesotho

Lesotho is a small, landlocked country totally surrounded by the Republic of South Africa. One of Lesotho's most significant natural resources is water, which is captured from the Orange River. Lesotho exports water to South Africa, specifically the Johannesburg area which houses much of South Africa's population, industry, and agriculture. The water project also supplies Lesotho with all of its electricity needs. Levi's and Russell Athletic have factories in Lesotho as well.
