Unlike New York, the city of Chicago handled its latest snowstorm quite well. During the storm, 519 vehicles were abandoned along Lake Shore Drive. Rather than just leave the cars there and scratch their collective heads while trying to figure out how to clear the road, the city of Chicago moved all the cars to city parking lots then created this website. Car owners can find their car by searching for their license plate. And the owners of the cars will have to pay nothing for this service. Even more impressive, the city will put gas in cars that ran out while stuck in the snow, so that owners can drive them off the lot. Also at no cost.
