I've gotten a bit swamped with work in the last couple days (and will be for the next few), so posts are going to sparse. Don't fret, though, because I'm saving some interesting articles for when I have time.
Anyways, for today's daily knowledge.
In northern California, marshland is also know as "tules." For the rest of the country, tule is a type of bulrush that grows in swampy areas of the southwest. "Tule land" was likely shortened to "tules" over the years.
